Arranging Windows

Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. To open two windows at the same time:
    1. open the first window (or program) as you normally would
    2. Then open a second one the same way

  2. To view the two windows simultaneously:

    1. Re-size the visible window (think of it as being on top) to make it smaller using the Restore button on the Title Bar
    2. Now do the same to the other window (think of it as being below)
    3. Change the size and shape of each of the windows in any way you want and move them around on the screen to make them easy to use together

  3. To change the size and shape of a window:
    1. Move your mouse pointer to any edge or corner of the window
    2. Depress and hold down the left mouse button and drag the edge or corner of the window inward (to make the window smaller) or outward (to increase its size)

  4. To move a window:
    1. Move your mouse pointer to the blue Title Bar at the top of the small window
    2. Depress and hold down the left mouse button and drag the window around on the screen

  5. To restore either window to full screen size:
    1. Move your mouse pointer to the Maximize button on the blue Title Bar at the top of the currently open window.
    2. Click on the button to make the current window the full size of the screen
