Copying Text
Description of the Topic
You may find on many occasions that you are working in a document that requires the same text to be repeated a number of times. For example, your document may refer to the same name (for example, The Amalgamated Wagon and Buggywhip Company, Inc.) over and over again.
Rather than type this rather lengthy name repeatedly, it is possible to type it the first time only, copy it to a location on your hard drive called the "Windows Clipboard" and then to paste it into your document once or more than once if necessary. You can even copy text from one document and paste it into another (such text, used over and over again in different documents is often called "boilerplate").
Copy and Paste saves a lot of unnecessary typing.
