Moving Text

Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. Select the text to be cut
    1. Move the mouse pointer to the left edge of the text to be cut
    2. Depress and hold down the left mouse button as you move the pointer across to the right and, if necessary, down to select the text to be cut
    3. When the appropriate text has been highlighted in dark blue or black, release the left mouse button
Method One:

  1. Left-click on the Edit Menu and then left-click on Cut. A copy of the selected text is placed on the Windows clipboard
  2. Move the mouse pointer to the location in the document where you wish the text to be pasted
  3. Left-click to place the insertion point at this location
  4. Left-click on the Edit Menu and choose Paste. A duplicate of the selected text is placed in the new location
Method Two:

  1. Right-click with the mouse on the selected text and left-click on Cut. A copy of the selected text is placed on the Windows clipboard
  2. Move the mouse pointer to the location in the document where you wish the text to be pasted
  3. Left-click to place the insertion point at this location
  4. Right-click with the mouse and left-click on Paste. A duplicate of the selected text is placed in the new location
