John F. Deeds and Paul DelPonte to Bring Key Finance and Executive Experience to Board of Nonprofit Dedicated to Technology Access and Education for Seniors

John F. “Jack” Deeds, treasurer and chief financial officer of Search for Common Ground, is an expert in finance, technology, and leading change in nonprofit organizations. With a finance and technology career stretching more than two decades, Deeds was named 2008 CFO of the Year by the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Paul DelPonte serves as executive director of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the successful senior lobby. A graduate of Catholic University, DelPonte’s career has spanned politics, nonprofit organizations, corporate consulting and business development, including six years as the Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs for the Alliance for Aging Research. DelPonte has also served as an advisor to several leading foundations including the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

“Jack and Paul both bring a commitment to senior issues and are respective leaders in their areas of nonprofit management, technology and finance,” said Leslie M. Smith, SeniorNet board chairman. “It is a pleasure to have both of them join our board.”
