The SeniorNet website offers information, educational opportunities and resources on topics of special interest to adults 50+ as well as interactive tools.

Following are the main sections of the site: 

  • Membership: Information related to membership in SeniorNet's nonprofit organization
  • Education: Courses offered at Learning Centers and on our web site. Includes a list of contact information for all SeniorNet Learning Centers.
  • Enrichment: Informational resources and activities in specific topic areas: Books & Culture, Health, Money, Recreations, Technology and Volunteering. Also includes a Marketplace with discounted products and special offers.
  • About Us: Information about SeniorNet's mission and organization
  • Help: Assistance in using the SeniorNet web site

NAVIGATE

Use the menubar at the top of the page to go to the main sections of the SeniorNet website.

  1. Place your mouse pointer on the menu title but don't click. A drop-down menu appears.
  2. Click the top menu title to open the main page for the section.
    Or click one of the titles in the drop-down menu to open the main page for one of the sub sections.

ALTERNATIVE NAVIGATION


  1. Scroll down the home page, or any regular SeniorNet page, and click Sitemap at the bottom of the page.
    A page listing SeniorNet's major categories and subsections appears.
  2. Click the title of the page you want to open.

CHANGE FONT SIZE

Click the A+ or A- at the top right corner of the page to increase (A+) or decrease (A-) the text size. Click repeatedly to increase or decrease by increments.  

CREATE A USERNAME

Create and log in with your SeniorNet username. In the future, your username will be used to give you access to private member-only areas, if you are a paid member of SeniorNet.  

Register

Even if you already were registered on the previous SeniorNet web site, please register to create a username on our new site. After you complete the username registration, you have the option to fill out a membership form to join the SeniorNet nonprofit organization to support our programs financially.

  1. Click Register below Website Login in the middle of the left column on any non-discussion page to open the registration page.
  2. Type the following:
    • Your name
    • A username that will display on the SeniorNet site if you post messages. At least 3 characters. Numbers and/or letters only (no punctuation or spaces).
    • A valid email address
    • A password: At least 6 characters. Numbers and/or letters only; case sensitive.
    • Re-type your password
  3. Click Send Registration
  4. Then either continue on to join as a financially supporting member or click on the word "Click" in the sentence: "Click to return to the home page and log in."

Login
  1. Type your username and password in the Website Login boxes in the left column on the home page. Click to put a checkmark next to "Remember Me" so you won't have to log in again.
  2. Click the LOGIN button.

You don't ever have to logout unless you are using a public computer, such as in a SeniorNet Learning Center, or sharing a computer with someone else who has a SeniorNet username.
