The SeniorNet Lab at Emmaus Services for the Aging has had some exciting and useful classes for our older adults.  The advanced class just recently completed a course on where the seniors learned how to make personalized greeting cards and calendars for the New Year.  It has been one of the most popular courses to this day.  In the near future, Emmaus is going to expose their students to the My Medicare Matters and the Medicare websites to teach them how to navigate through the sites, and to teach tem how to look up their benefits and different plans.  In addition, Emmaus offers computer classes to homebound seniors by going to their homes to provide on-on-one computer instruction, and, has partnered with a Senior employment agency (National Caucus on Black Aged) to provide computer job training skills to its participants.

Emmaus has also partnered with CTC Net to add accessability options to the computer lab.  Therefore, the computers now have big keys as well as speech recognition software and other options available to make computer use more accessible for disabled seniors.
